What is Invisalign®?
Invisalign aligner therapy is a virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth. At Harley House we use 3D computer technology scanning using the latest technology to image and design your bespoke orthodontic aligner treatment.
Invisalign has the benefit of showing you your complete treatment progression based on Dr Vora’s prescription, from the initial position of your teeth towards the final desired position. A series of clear aligners are custom-made for your teeth to move them little by little.
Each aligner is worn for approximately one weeks and then changed to the next in the series, gradually moving towards the final position. The treatment time depends on your specific needs and will be decided at the early stages with Dr Vora. Some treatment can be completed in as little as 3 months.
How does Invisalign work?
The aligners move teeth through a series of controlled movements. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign treatment controls the amount of movement that each aligner delivers, the timing of the movement and, also which teeth move.
The overall result will be that only certain teeth can move, following the Invisalign treatment plan for that particular stage. This results in an efficient force delivery required for the orthodontic correction.
How much does Invisalign cost?
As with other types of orthodontic treatment, the cost of Invisalign treatment depends on the complexity of your treatment and during the consultation with Dr Vora you will be given a cost estimate and also alternatives to compare to.

How long does the Invisalign treatment take?
The time taken depends on the complexity of the treatment and is generally quicker than that of traditional braces. During your consultation, Dr Vora can give you more detailed information.
Recently a combination of aligner and fixed brace (called hybrid orthodontics) can be used to speed up the total treatment time. This will be discussed with you at the appointment.
What are the benefits of Invisalign?
Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible and typically hardly anyone notices that you are wearing them. Unlike traditional fixed braces, there are no metal brackets or wires. This means that in most cases less time is spent having adjustment at the practice.
Because Invisalign aligners are removable, you can eat and drink what you want during treatment by simply removing the aligners. You can also remove the aligners to brush and floss as you normally would to maintain your normal oral hygiene routine.
And finally, the Invisalign treatment allows you to view your virtual results and treatment plan before you begin treatment, so you can see how your teeth are expected to look when your treatment is complete.
